A bit late but any one wanting to test this weekend at Fulbeck contact Alex or Jim Comer Cadet - Louis Keenan & Brendan Patterson: Louis lined up on pole for the final after two heat wins. After a great battle in the final Louis unfortunately had to settle for the runner up place. Still a good result but ultimately Louis wanted the win. Brendan looked all set to take his second novice win in a row but a collision early on left him to much damage to carry on. But early winter results look good for the future with Brendan. WTP - Sam Holgate & Max Foster: Sam and Max engaged in a great battle all day long. With both drivers having little racing experience this was exciting to watch. Ultimately Sam's little bit more experience showed as he was able to take his second first novice win in a row. Minimax - Chad Brookes, Philip Craven & Aaron Leishman: All three minimax drivers showed great pace and much improved race craft all weekend. This showed with good results Sunday, Aaron was unlucky as a last lap maneuver didn’t pay off, Chad was fast but a little unlucky and Philip drove really well to take the runner up spot this being his best result to date. Junior Max - Scott Colinge & Jack Readman: Scott and Jack showed big improvements all weekend. Both drivers didn’t have great finals but will be very happy with there overall performance with great heat results. Senior Max - Jashan Johal: After good heats Jash lined up on pole position, and looked set to be the man to beat. Then disaster struck as he wouldn’t start on the grid the problem was solved but Jash was too far behind to make up the difference he did claim the fastest lap. Minimax - Jordan Baines & Joe Faragher: After two good heats Jordan started the final from grid 2. Unfortunately a coming together at turn one knocked him back to 7th place. After that Jordan put in a great drive back to almost take the win on the last lap and set the fastest lap by 4 tenths of a second but had to settle for a podium place. This gained him the runner up spot in the Trent valley winter series a good achievement, after three consistent months of very good driving. Joe had mixed fortunes during the day which ended with him finishing midpack. But overall Joe showed he had improved through the winter with a lot better pace and much improved race craft. Senior Max - Sam Clegg, Aaron Dew, Jack France & Jashan Johal: With all four drivers having disappointing heats by there own high standards. This gave way to some great drives in the final with Sam driving from grid 24 to 9th in the final. Jack and Aaron also improved highly on there starting grid and showed good pace. Unfortunately Jash was unable to finish the final with an engine problem. |
